Write for Perch Supply

We publish practical writing from people who spend time with birds: banders, nest-box monitors, native-plant growers, refuge volunteers, bird club members and wildlife photographers. If you've learned something in the field that would help someone set up a better yard, we'd like to hear it.

What we look for

  • Your own observations, records or methods, with dates and places where they matter.
  • Specific numbers: hole sizes, mounting heights, bloom months, counts.
  • Regional angles for the USA, Canada or the UK.
  • Your own photos, or photos you can credit and license.
  • At least 800 words once drafted. Sources linked where you cite them.

What we don't publish

  • Paid placements or articles written around a link.
  • Topics unrelated to birds, habitat or wildlife.
  • Rewritten copies of articles already published elsewhere.

How it works

Send a short pitch with links to past work. If it's a fit, we'll agree an outline, then edit the draft with you. Published pieces carry your byline, a short bio and a link to your site or organization.
